Digital Artwork License & Terms of Use

Welcome to Rustic Haven Creative!

Thank you for supporting my small creative business. My artwork is created with care, creativity, and heart. These terms explain how you may use your purchased digital artwork while helping protect the creativity and original work behind each design.

Please review these terms before purchasing or using any digital product from Rustic Haven Creative.

By purchasing, downloading, or using a digital product, you agree to the applicable licensing terms, subject to applicable law.

1. Copyright & Ownership

Rustic Haven Creative retains all ownership, copyright, and intellectual property rights it holds in its original artwork.

Purchasing digital artwork grants the original purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the artwork according to these terms. It does not transfer ownership or copyright.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

2. Completed Digital Designs — Personal & Commercial Use

Purchases of eligible completed digital designs include personal and commercial-use rights for unlimited finished physical products.

You MAY:

  • Create and sell unlimited finished physical products such as shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, tumblers, signs, stickers, greeting cards, and home décor.

  • Use purchased designs for personal projects.

  • Resize artwork proportionally when necessary for production.

  • Produce permitted finished products using equipment you personally own or operate.

You MAY NOT:

  • Recolor, redraw, trace, distort, remove, rearrange, or modify the original design.

  • Add wording or artwork to the completed design.

  • Sell, share, or redistribute the design as a digital download.

  • Sell modified versions of the design as digital products.

  • Manufacture or sell printed transfers or other ready-to-apply reproductions.

Completed digital designs are licensed for finished physical products only.

3. Individual Clipart — Personal & Commercial Use

Purchases of eligible individual clipart include commercial-use rights for unlimited finished physical products and qualifying original digital compositions.

You MAY:

  • Create and sell unlimited finished physical products featuring purchased clipart.

  • Combine purchased clipart with your own original illustrations, typography, layouts, and other creative elements.

  • Sell qualifying new digital compositions that contain substantial original creative work contributed by you.

  • Resize clipart proportionally without distorting its original appearance.

Requirements for Selling New Digital Compositions:

  • The finished composition must contain substantial original creative work. As a general guideline, at least 50% of the overall creative composition should consist of your own original contributions.

  • Rustic Haven Creative clipart must remain a supporting element, not the dominant feature or primary value of the finished design.

  • Simply adding words, names, quotes, borders, backgrounds, or minor decorative elements does not qualify.

  • Digital products must be supplied as flattened files that do not allow the original clipart to be readily separated or extracted.

  • Your finished design must not function as a substitute for the original Rustic Haven Creative clipart.

You MAY NOT:

  • Recolor, redraw, trace, distort, erase portions of, or otherwise alter the original clipart.

  • Sell, share, or distribute the original clipart files.

  • Include the original clipart in digital bundles, clipart collections, or asset libraries.

  • Create competing standalone clipart products.

  • Sell digital compositions that do not meet the substantial-original-work requirements.

Important: Customers who purchase a completed digital design containing Rustic Haven Creative clipart may use that completed design under the license granted by its seller, but they may not extract, redistribute, or resell the underlying Rustic Haven Creative clipart separately.

No additional commercial license purchase is required for qualifying digital compositions.

4. Digital File Sharing & Redistribution

Purchased original digital artwork files are licensed exclusively to the original purchaser.

You may not:

  • Share, sell, gift, trade, exchange, or redistribute the original files.

  • Upload original files to Facebook groups, shared Google Drives, file-sharing services, or digital memberships.

  • Include original artwork files in giveaways, subscriptions, or downloadable bundles.

  • Sublicense or transfer your purchased artwork license.

  • Offer the original artwork files as free downloads.

  • Claim the underlying Rustic Haven Creative artwork as your own original creation.

The limited permission to sell qualifying flattened clipart compositions under Section 3 is an exception to these restrictions.

5. Third-Party Printing & Print-on-Demand

The standard license does not permit customers to provide purchased artwork files to outside printing businesses or production services.

You may not upload, email, transfer, or otherwise supply purchased artwork files to commercial printers, DTF suppliers, sublimation transfer companies, print-on-demand services, or outside manufacturers without prior written authorization from Rustic Haven Creative.

Customers needing professionally printed transfers may contact Rustic Haven Creative to inquire about purchasing them directly, subject to availability.

Rustic Haven Creative selects and manages its own printing providers.

6. Printed Transfers & Ready-to-Apply Products

Purchasing digital artwork does not grant permission to manufacture or sell DTF transfers, sublimation transfers, screen-print transfers, heat transfers, or similar ready-to-apply printed products.

These rights are reserved and require separate written authorization from Rustic Haven Creative.

7. Logos, Trademarks & Business Branding

Purchased artwork may not be incorporated into logos, trademarks, service marks, or business identities.

Customers may not register, claim exclusive rights to, or modify Rustic Haven Creative artwork for use as a business logo or trademark.

8. Design Software, Templates & Shared Projects

Purchased artwork may be uploaded privately to design software such as Canva, Cricut Design Space, or Silhouette Studio for uses permitted under the applicable license.

You may not:

  • Publish original artwork in public or shared design libraries.

  • Share editable templates containing extractable Rustic Haven Creative artwork.

  • Share Cricut, Silhouette, or similar projects that expose the original artwork to others.

  • Upload original artwork to shared digital asset collections.

  • Make original artwork available for others to download, extract, or reuse.

Qualifying flattened digital compositions permitted under Section 3 may be sold according to the clipart license.

9. Artificial Intelligence & Digital Asset Collections

You may not intentionally contribute purchased artwork to AI training or fine-tuning datasets, shared AI asset libraries, or services intended to reproduce or redistribute the original artwork.

Ordinary private use of permitted design software is allowed, provided the original artwork is not distributed or made available to others.

10. Digital Downloads & Product Information

Digital products are delivered electronically unless the product listing expressly states otherwise.

No physical product is included with a digital purchase.

Customers are responsible for reviewing file formats, dimensions, software compatibility, and intended uses before purchasing.

Colors may vary between screens, printers, materials, and production methods.

11. Refunds & Order Issues

Because digital products are electronically delivered, purchases are generally final once files have been delivered or accessed.

If you receive an incorrect file, encounter a technical problem, or believe a product is defective, please contact Rustic Haven Creative so the issue can be reviewed.

Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

12. License Violations

Use of artwork outside the applicable license permissions constitutes a license violation.

Where legally permitted, Rustic Haven Creative may terminate a license for material violations, require unauthorized use to stop, request removal of infringing material, and pursue available legal remedies.

13. Changes to These Terms

Rustic Haven Creative may update these terms as its products and business evolve.

Updates apply to future purchases from their stated effective date and do not retroactively remove previously granted rights unless otherwise permitted by law or separately agreed.

Additional permissions or exceptions must be authorized in writing by Rustic Haven Creative.
